Situated on the Hawkshutt Farm, Anvil cottage was built originally as a barn about 300 years ago for the Squire Gifford of Chillington Hall near Brewood. In the late Georgian era it was made into two cottages, which were lived in till 1954 after which they became derelict.
They have now been lovingly restored into one cottage, providing all the comforts of the 21st century, yet still retaining many of the original features from the 17th and 18th centuries, oak raftered ceilings, exposed internal timber framed oak and brick walls and the ambiance of a bygone era.
Anvil Cottage sleeps four with a double bedroom and twin bedded room.
The cottage is private and located in a large garden in open countryside. There is parking off the private drive leading to Hawkshutt Farm.
